Escape of the Dead 2 is a game for 1 player where the player plays as a survivor heading to the Hospital seeking for help in a zombie-infested city. Roll dice and strategically decide your fate: Will you drive as fast as possible? Or will you defend your health endlessly? Whatever you do, you always need to Survive!

Overview:
Reach the hospital without depleting fuel or health along the way. The player will be encountering large groups of zombies, craft tools to help mitigate those dice luck, and stumbles into both fortunate and unfortunate events, well mostly the latter. Based on actions played throughout the game, the player will score only if the player reaches the hospital.

Important: You will need 6 six-sided dice to play the game.

Planet Run

You are Captain Xavier Mertz pilot of the ship Yamato. One day while cruising your ship was hit by asteroids and you landed on Planet Run. You need to find the resources to fix your ship while trying to survive from dying of hunger!

Planet Run is a solo worker placement game where you becomes an astronaut exploring the planet to find resources to fix your ship. You need to survive by hunting for food. Food you eat will determine how much energy dice you will get on the next turn. You may construct gadget to help you in your task. On turn 15, you must launch your ship!

Designer note: We were trying to emulate the game Terraria with a lot of scenario based game but somehow like the usual it got simplified. We change the theme because building castle isn't really as fun as fixing the ship and fly!

Oh My Lair!

You are a dungeon lord and you are drinking your favourite cavern coffee when suddenly your spy informs you that a hero wants to slay you. It’s that time of the year where heroes will come out and try to destroy you and your lair. Prepare for the attack!

Oh My Lair is a solo game where you control your minion to conquer region, collect resources to summon creatures, and defeat the hero before he reaches you.

Designer Note: This game is inspired by What Did I Do To Deserve This, My Lord? Although it is simplified to the point of doesn't resemble the inspired game at all. Anyway just enjoy the game!

In the 80’s, Tendino, a game company, created revolutionery game console called Tendino Entertainment System (TES). Your company 8-Bit Inc. is one of the many company trying to make the best game for the system and compete them in the Game Prix Award (GPA).

Designer's note: Since I saw and played the Game Dev Story I really wanted to make a boardgame that makes game. After month and months of forming ideas, creating prototype, testing, finally we've made a similar simulation but not as details as Game Dev Story hence the title 8-Bit Inc. because you are a manager of 8-Bit Inc. and you create a game just for the Tendino Entertainment System (TES). On the last playtesting we added the Game Prix Award so you would have a goal in the game.

Emergency Earth

Earth was attacked before by aliens but never this big. Citizen of earth now depends on your team, the one and only Earth Defense Force (EDF), the one who saves earth an hour ago from zombie attack to once again defend earth from danger. Emergency Earth is a solo game in which you took in charge to defend earth from danger.

Designer note: This is one of the game promised from the previous post. Actually this game is done later after the one that we will to post in January 2012 (little spoiler, the game is about a game company making games!). Anyway, when Jason created this game it was an orc invading game similar in the line of Age of War -or is it. Later after some discussion we decided to make it alien invading earth, while the Earth Defense Force is actually army from the 50's. 

Last but not least MERRY CHRISTMAS TO EVERYONE! This would be our gift to every player and reader of this blog for Christmas :D

Horde of the Dead version 2

You are Giraffe the hero of this game and you arrived in a small inn. Suddenly during the night something was attacking the inn. It’s a horde of ZOMBIE WARRIORS!!!. Nobody survive except you and the inn keeper’s daughter, Mari-chan. Survive the game until the timeline finishes.

In version 2:
The combat uses dice which introduce the element of random. 
Reward system is changed for the better called combo gold. 
The heroes now share their hit points. 
The heroes also share action point to do their actions.
This time around the zombie is now a zombie warrior, they will attack the house if there is no hero present in the room they occupied.
and hopefully this one is more streamline than the previous one.

Ninja vs Robot

Ninja vs Robot is a fast playing solo game for ages 7+. Player take on a role of a ninja who is the only to witness the coming of the invader, the robots. The robots will do anything to destroy the castle. It is up to you now to race to the castle to alarm the king for the coming of the robots. Player will battle with all kinds of robots to reach the castle, so until you reach the castle winning a battle does not mean you win the game.

The game uses a simple rules to let player to be easily immerse into the Robot invading twisted oriental world. Player will attack using a unique dice mechanic that will enable player to make combos to destroy an army of robots. The game also uses a Ninja Point system that lets player to change the battle into their own style.

You only need 2 six sided-dice and a cutting tool.

Escape of the Dead

You are a survivor of a zombie apocalypse and you're stuck on a house with a useless car and hordes of zombies attacking from the lawn. But wait, you found a tool enough to fix the car to escape the hordes of zombies. ARE YOU READY FOR IT?

In the game you are trying to fix the car while defending yourself against hordes of zombies. You're given 4 Action dice per turn, distribute between 3 sections of the game (either by shooting zombie, fixing the barricade and/or fixing the car). Roll for success on each section. Any zombie that survived will attack the barricade. When you successfully killed 10 zombies you will be rewarded with power-up. You lose when your barricade is down (i.e barricade's hp equals zero). You win when the car is fixed 100%.

You need 4 six sided-dice, a pencil and an eraser for book keeping.

Horde of the Dead

This game is inspired by the genre tower of defense, where a horde of zombie, comes and attack the inn wave by wave. You job is to control Giraffe, Mari-chan and occasionally Dogmeat by moving them through the inn, defending against the zombies, set barricade, buy stuff to upgrade and protecting Mari-chan while surviving yourself.

You need at least 1 six sided-die (the more the faster the game goes), 4 counters(different kind or colour) in which 1 of them represent zombie (which you need at least 7), a pencil and an eraser to jot down equipment, hp, bp and so on.

Village Run is a 2 or more player game where each player is runner competing for the village run's cup. Players will smartly manage their speed during the game using a new and unique game engine designed for the game to become the run's champion.

The Nasi Lemak Stand

Its recess time at Adam High School. Apparently, some student doesn’t really like the school canteen’s food. So, instead of buying them there, they go outside of school and buy uncle Gram’s delicious nasi lemak (na-see le-mak, Malay delicacy, http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nasi_lemak) which is located right outside of the school compound, and it is very popular with uncle Gram special topping (i.e the extra egg, beef and squid). This is where the game comes in. You are to play as uncle Gram and collect as many points as possible before recess time is over, remember the faster you serve your customer, the more point you get. Oh yeah it’s a solo game.

True Hero minigame

this is somewhat a version of mini gamebook that i wanted to make, it supposed to fit an A4 paper, complete with rules and the entries. i did this game way back last year 2007 for the TDD comic book. i dont know if anyone played it, but i did get my objective of doing a 1 page diceless gamebook.



in this game you're a hero and your job is to find a lot of experience point running through an unknown dungeon. that is pretty much everything.
